You deploy pods, pay with credits, and we run the infrastructure. We collect minimal data, don't sell it, and don't send marketing messages.

Service. Tidepool is a platform for deploying persistent Python web applications ("pods"). You purchase prepaid service credits via Stripe. Credits are consumed daily by running pods. We host your code, data, and files on Fly.io, Cloudflare R2, and Postgres infrastructure.
Accounts. You must be 18+. You're responsible for activity under your API keys. Keep your API key secret — it grants full access to all your pods, secrets, and data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or engage in abuse.
Payments. Processed by Stripe. Prepaid credits are non-refundable except as required by law. Autoreload (on by default) charges your card when credits run low. You can disable autoreload via the API or billing page at any time.
Pod data. Your pod code, database, files, and secrets are stored on our infrastructure. When a pod is killed or deleted, machine resources are released but data is preserved until the pod is explicitly deleted via the API. We do not access your pod data except to operate the service or as required by law.
Acceptable use. No illegal activity, fraud, abuse, or content that violates applicable law. Pods must not be used for cryptocurrency mining, spam, DDoS, or attacks on other systems. We may suspend or terminate pods that violate these terms.
Domains. Domains purchased through Tidepool are registered via Porkbun. Auto-renewal is on by default and charges credits 14 days before expiry. You can disable auto-renewal or release a domain at any time. Released domains are not refunded.
Stripe Connect. If you accept payments in your pods via tp.payments, funds are processed through Stripe Connect to your connected Stripe account. Tidepool does not hold or intermediate end-user payments — Stripe handles all fund transfers directly.
Disclaimers. Provided "as is." Not liable for data loss, outages, or third-party behavior. Max liability: fees paid in the prior 12 months. We recommend keeping local backups of important pod data via tidepool pull.
Data we collect. Email, registration IP, Stripe customer ID, and API usage timestamps. Used to operate the service, process payments, and prevent abuse. We don't sell your data. Shared only with Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Fly.io (hosting), Cloudflare (storage), and Porkbun (domains) as needed to operate the service, and as required by law.
Retention. Data kept for the life of your account plus 2 years. Request deletion by emailing sam@tidepool.sh.
Changes. We may update these terms. Continued use means acceptance. Material changes communicated via email.
